Happy snowless New Year
Welcome to the SwallowTail Woodworks blog. No, let me rephrase that…welcome to Kate & Dory’s blog.
We are currently waiting for snow here in Central Vermont. Our barn has no running water, so Kate usually rides our two horses down to the house for buckets of water three or four times a day. WIth no snow and packed ice on the path, this would require that Duchess & Starr learn down-hill iceskating, which they won’t. Instead, Kate puts on crampons three or four times a day and pumps the water at the barn from hand pump. Who needs Pilates?
We are working on the 12′ canoe. The inside is ‘glassed. Next up, scribe the decks and install them. Be great to get her in the Wilson’s pond come spring.
Time, however, to strap on the crampons and water the horses. Will post photos when I figure out how.
